Most of
you have heard about the thoroughbred weanlings that are now residing
at the SPCA barn. Karen Rohrbaugh (owner of Seeing Things Visual Arts)
incorporates horse hair into some of her beautiful pieces of jewelry!
She has used some tail hair from some of the weanlings at the SPCA and
is selling the bracelets to raise money for the horses. You can look
good AND support horses in need! Proceeds from the sale of these bracelets
will be donated back to the shelter to aid in caring for the horses
that donated the hair.

Thoroughbred weanlings
seized on November 16th, 2011 January 19, 2012
Due to the continued
support of the volunteers who work with the horses on a daily basis,
each horse continues to improve. We expect a full recovery and look
forward to the ultimate release of these horses from our facility into
their future homes.
There is an urgent need for straw at this time and volunteers are still
needed for stall cleaning and feeding. If you are interested
in helping, please call 717-334-8876 ext. 26. We will continue
to need sawdust and funds to help pay for the care of these animals.
Thank
you for the outpouring of donations and support for these horses.
Your continued donations are greatly appreciated and will help support
their needs!!!
